It’s Not Stealing…

May 21, 2008 by anado 2 Comments

…it's pollination.  I mentioned that I was at the deYoung yesterday stealing ideas for my art.  Actually I was in a cross pollination experiment with appreciation and criticism.  Yes…that sounds more humane…However, I believe Picasso said that every good artist is a good thief…there is some hit and miss in that statement…there was some work there by a woman named Jane Hammond that i really enjoyed…I do know this:  museums are a bit mausoleum-esque….is that a word?  I felt Jane Hammond's stuff gave some luster to the deYoung mausoleum….so I payed my respect and genuflected as I fled into Golden Gate Park.AnadoDada

Yes, there is nothing really original in art, it is all stolen from somewhere, even if it is your unconscious! Timing seems to be everything.
