My friend Catherine still has cancer. It showed up again in her lungs. We used to enjoy our cigarettes together. I pray that she can make it through this period. She has suffered enough. Her situation reminds me to not get caught up in all the crisis of pettiness and to embrace the wind and all the changes it brings. The other day I got an email from a woman who writes for the New York Times…she wanted to know more about our house and my work…so weird. Years ago in New York when I was a taxi driver…I felt like an alien in a civilization of sophisticated monied gentry….then I was the gardner….and the delivery guy…and the vegetable seller…New York Times….seems so unlikely….Jimmy Ray could dig it though….I could dig it if Catherine can heal….that is a priorityFollow me on social media:
