…the year was 1968. To me, this is one of the most important photos of our lifetime. It was an amazing era and I am glad to have run across this photo today. Obama is the man in the big chair up north and Tommie Smith and John Carlos helped him get there with this protest 41 years ago in Mexico City…I just felt I needed to post this. Love to all!

The Key to Happiness…
…now that is a tall order indeed. But we all know that there are lots of choices…so pick one! If it works…use it…or pick another. Everything is revealed in time. Sometimes I am the happiest man in the world, and then that 'ol reptilian brain of mine surfaces and I plunge into unconsciousness…but it appears that without fail, if I am open, the portals open up and I get another key. Rumi once said that even if you have broken your vows a thousand times…come yet come again. And that is so. Dear Rumi learned the art of spinning into the truth…every revolution from the source brought him closer to His True Nature because he had a longing in His heart…That longing is what I need to cultivate…
You Can Get There From Here…
…that is if you know where "here" is and if there is a "there" to reach. This whole Mystery never ceases to amaze 'ol Anado. I am lucky to be surrounded by some very beautiful souls both in human and animal form…let's not forget the plant life and the winged ones. If I just take a moment to listen and remember my True Nature…All is revealed. I think this post is brought on by the lingering taste of a film I saw last night on my computer while resting in bed. The name of the film is "The Reader". I was mesmerized to the millionth degree and then some. If you have not seen this film….see it! On a weather note, the nights are getting warmer…some of the native trees are beginning to flower. I will get our cold sensitive plants out of their winter retreat next week. So if you want to get there from here, my advice is to just do it and not think about the outcome…by the way, that advice is really for me! Love to All!
Work Work Work
….well I have been a bit busy, folks. Lot's of work happening. Despite the economic global crisis, I am still getting a lot of commission work. We are also plugging away here at the house on mosaic projects and the gallery. We are so blessed to have Carlos with his multiple helping hands…On a side note…an article recently appeared in Inside Mexico…an English language periodical…the article named Richard and I as two of the 25 ex-pats in Mexico that one needs to meet. I am weirded about the word "need", but the coverage does create curiosity about Casa las Ranas:

So life is flowing within us and without us, to coin a phrase from the Beatles. Gratitude is in order!
